His strong understanding of the APAC region comes from his stints in Australia and Thailand, whereas his stretch in London helps him understand the European Market.
Raj is associated with various associations such as ESOMAR, AEMRI, MSPA, WAPOR, AIAI, FICCI, CII, AQR etc. He is also the International Features Editor for QRCA VIEWS, a publication of QRCA (Qualitative Research Consultants Association), a not-for-profit association that promotes excellence in all aspects of qualitative research. He currently is on the Management Committee of MRSI (Market Research Society of India).
Raj is a Bachelor of Engineering with specialization in Electronics and Telecommunications and Master of Management Studies (MMS) in Marketing, from the University of Mumbai
Sarang Panchal comes with three decades of Market Research experience. He started his career with Procter & Gamble and then moved to the research world with MRAS [a boutique MR firm] as Research Manager. Subsequently, he assumed partnership at MRAS Burke between 1987- 1989, from where he joined Dun & Bradstreet as Executive Director in 1995. He then joined AC Nielsen in 1997 as Executive Director, South Asia, where his profile included new product research as a core area of expertise. He was next appointed as Managing Director of The Nielsen Company, Asia Pacific for the customized division and handled 17 countries during this period.
Today Sarang is an investor and the Managing Director of MRSS India, India's first and only Market Research Company that is listed on the BSE SME exchange. MRSS India offers customized marketing solutions with special focus on digital research.
Over the years, Sarang has worked across industries ranging from consumer products, innovation, financial services, e-commerce, media, B2B research, education, auto, etc. Academically, Sarang is an alumnus of Campion School. He pursued a degree in commerce from Sydenham College; post which he completed his Master's degree in Management studies from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management studies (JBIMS). He has presented several papers during his career, besides having taught at several colleges and also conducted frequent guest lectures at Business schools and clients companies.
